DYC is a multi-racial, multi-lingual community based youth agency in the Fields Corner section of Dorchester, whose mission is to provide comprehensive services to high risk youth. DYC operates a safe haven Center for youth ages 11 to 20.

The Center is open during the high crime hours of 2pm – 10pm, the hours when youth are most vulnerable to criminal activity, victimization, and risky behavior. DYC provides outreach and crisis intervention services, safety, conflict resolution and support, sports and recreation, mentoring, tutoring and homework assistance, media and performance arts, and field trips, as well as job opportunities.

The Center is the first point of contact between youth and DYC staff and serves approximately 2,000 youth each year. DYC provides many program alternatives for youth, including those listed below.
